How manga/comics are made

Start

First things first: You learn how to draw, and practice, too.

CMYK process

Next, you focus on the story boarding and/or script. You know exactly everything that is going to happen before you even start drawing.

You could technically do this before or after story boarding, but character development is essential to the plot. Learn how to draw your characters from all angles and come up with personalities for each and every one of them.

When you were story boarding, you should have had at least an idea on what panels you wanted on what pages, so basically the layout for the manga.

While story boarding, you create a rough sketch of where each panel lies on the paper, so when you go more into fine detail, it's simple and easy to read.

When penciling in your characters and/or details, make sure to put the major elements into the story as you go.

Almost the same way as manga, you want to pencil in everything pretty well in order to understand what you need to ink in later.

After all of the pencil lining is completed, you want to pay special attention to the inking because that is a major part to manga since there isn't much color other than  black, white, and many shades of grey.

After all of the penciling, you want to ink each nook and cranny of everything you've drawn. You could ink the lines thick or thin, it depends on the feeling you would want to give off.

After all of the inking, you may want to use a photo editing application to clean up your work a bit, and to add more colors if needed.

After all of the inking, you would want to create layer of colors to cover your drawings, and although this may take a while, it is well worth it. The process is called CMYK.

After all of the coloring/shading, you would want to fill in the speech bubbles with the actual dialogue off of your editing application.

Almost the same as manga, be sure to add in the dialogue as you begin to finish all of the artistic aspects.

Although it may have taken you a while, you are now ready to publish!

After this whole process, you are now ready to publish!
