CorelDraw 8

Lesson #15

Designing with Paragraph Text

Lesson #15 wasn't too difficult; I learned how to edit text and how to get it to flow from one box into another. I also colored the wording and added in a shape to give it a background (although it doesn't match). Throughout this lesson, I followed the project steps in the book to get the paragraph that I did.

At first, lesson 16 was a little difficult to work with because the CorelDRAW 8 book I've been using has a different layer format than the program I've been using (since the program has updated after the book's release). Although I had troubles, I learned how to add, delete, copy, and past layers separately and onto each other.

Lesson #17

Importing and Exporting

In Lesson 17, the CorelDRAW 8 book taught me how to import and export images. When importing, you can import other drawings from different programs or you could use the bitmap images that CorelDRAW provides (You can crop them out, too). When exporting, you can export images and text that you've created and open them with different programs; such as PowerPoint or a different art program.

Project #5-F

On this page, I worked with designing text, managing pages, and importing/exporting.
