Manga Figure Study #4

Drawing: 4/5

Explanation

I start the drawing by aligning the top strands of the hair with the chin.

I also attempt to get the ear the correct shape because in the begging, I accidentally drew it too long.

After completing the hair in the front, I decide to start the suit on the left side so that when I begin the rest of my drawing, I don't drag excess graphite across the page (because I'm right handed).

At this point, I finish the rest of the suit. Personally, I have always liked drawing neckties, so it wasn't too hard and I enjoyed it.

Next, I start with the outline frame of his glasses. As I practice them more and more, I learn how to draw them more accurately and efficiently from when I started.

After completing the glasses, I start on his left eye (from your point of view) and was sure to thicken the bit of his eyelashes that's located in the corner. The eyes themselves weren't too hard to draw, same with the pupils. I love the way that they're shaped during different emotions.

The mouth was honestly hard to position, but once I finally got it in the correct place, the teeth were pretty fun to draw.

After finishing the outline, I was actually pretty happy with the outcome and I honestly think that this is the best drawing out of the first four as if right now.

Outlining itself took a while because I didn't want anything to go wrong. When outlining, I use the same 0.5 pencil that I have used throughout the whole thing prior.

Project #3-C

In this project, I redraw various positions of the same person for the fourth time.
