CorelDraw 8

Lesson #10

Working with Shapes/Curves

In this lesson, I was taught how to outstretch a shape's lines, how to use an eraser, and how to cut things in half --creating two different shapes from the original one. This lesson was a bit lengthy, but I also learned about how to apply all the different types of nodes and how to edit them.

Lesson #11

Working with Bitmap Images

I reshaped different drawings in this lesson--observing how to keep the outline size the same. I also finally got to work with Bitmap images (which I found really fun to mess with) and explored all of the options there, and learned to copy and paste images.

I also got into creating my own bitmap images (with the help of the Artistic Media Tool) and even got to edit them.

Side Note:

When working with Bitmap images, I created a sun like symbol while using the Artistic Media Tool (as you could see in the image above). After realizing that I haven't really played around with this tool yet, I decided to give it a try while creating an actual drawing. With the different Artistic brushes, I was able to create hair, a bow, an outfit, and an actual face to go along with a cartoon girl I doodled. In the end, I found this nifty tool lots of fun to use.

Project #5-D

On this page, I worked with shapes, curves, and Bitmap images.
