CorelDraw 8 Graphic design Practice

Face Paint Poster

I took some of the skills that I've learned in CorelDRAW and applied it to a real life scenario --which was a face paint poster for my school.

The first thing I'd like to point out is that I used a computer program called Vinyl to create the title for this poster; including changing the height and font and then printing.

When I drew the paintbrush and pallet, I paid special attention to the outlines because of what I learned in CorelDRAW about outlining.

I decided to use capital letters for everything I wrote so that it sticks out to the eye.

I made sure to use a variety of colors so that people would get attracted to the sign, and made those colors correspond with paint splotches.

The poster took a few hours to complete with all of the planning I was doing for it and arranging of the shapes.

To the right you'll see the actual face paint samples that I've created during the carnival. It was tiresome work but in the end a lot of kids were satisfied.
